Abstract
Ada Peirce McCormick was a well known activist, lecturer, and writer who lived most of her life in Tucson, Arizona. She was born on March 28, 1888 to a wealthy lumber family in Bangor, Maine. Mrs. McCormick studied social work at the Boston School of Social Work and Radcliffe College, and married Fred C. McCormick in 1915. Lacking the title-page, one can only assume by various physical characteristics, that this volume may be the 1630 edition. The "Krauterbuch" was published in a great many editions, but only when it was revised and published in a great many editions, but only when it was revised and published jointly with Peter Uffenbach in 1630 was it enlarged to 750 pages, the number which was orginally in this volume. Dr. Adolphus Lippe was a prominent homeopathic physician who practiced from 1841 until his death in 1888. Born in Germany, Dr. Lippe immigrated to the United States to learn medicine and graduated from the North American Academy of Homeopathic Medicine in 1841. After graduating, Dr. Lippe practiced across western and central Pennsylvania, eventually settling in Philadelphia. African Batiks

Scope and Contents
This collection contains two seperate African animal Batiks. One of the batiks has a redish hue and the other blue. Batiks refer to a cloth that traditionally uses a manual wax-resist dyeing technique. In October of 2009, UNESCO designated that Batiks are a Masterpiece of Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity. A label accompanies the batiks that read: African Animal Batiks colored dyes on cotton, 1970, Gift of Mrs. Thomas Raeburn White.
